Honey Pot
Every morning, my Dad has honey on his toast, so when this scavenger hunt called for a container for sweetener, I knew I had to paint his honey pot!

Online sketchbook featuring the pencil, watercolor and ink drawings of LPBoni

These sketches are small watercolors, often with ink. They range in size from 3 1/2" x 5 1/4" to about 6" x 8". I use primarily a dry brush technique.
My watercolor kit consists of a small Winsor & Newton travel kit, an assortment of 5 brushes, a mechanical pencil, kneaded eraser, folded piece of paper towel and an assortment of Sakura Micron Pens in black and Sepia. All this is housed in a small Kaddy pouch that fits in my handbag or backpack along with a small clean plastic peanut butter jar filled 1/2 full of water! To this I add either a small or medium watercolor Moleskine or another small watercolor sketchbook. You can see a sketch of my basic kit here.

Welcome to my sketchbook!
I was one of those kids who filled the margins of their homework with drawings. While I am mostly self-taught as an artist, there were a few influential people along the way. Mrs. Carlson, my 7th grade art teacher who gave me the best foundation for drawing that I could have had. I still use the techniques she taught me all those years ago. My Mom, who enouraged my art and who is herself multi-talented in the arts and crafts. My Aunt Olive who shared her love of drawing and painting and encouraged my cousins and I to paint. The wonderful community of artists at WetCanvas who freely share their knowledge.
